Here are instructions for making bloomers to fit 20 inch
(50cm) to 21 (52cm) inch Raggedy Ann dolls. The model above is my 20 inch
Raggedy Ann.
This
is a very easy to make pattern with just 1 piece.
You’ll
need one quarter yard (one quarter meter) of material for the bloomers.
Pattern piece for bloomers:
The grid is 1 inch (2.5cm) squares. Pattern pieces include one quarter inch
seam allowance. You may use the pattern for yourself or gifts but not
commercially.
Try printing out the pattern to see if the grid stays 1 inch
square.
Construction directions
Open
out cut out pattern pieces and sew waist to crotch seams that will be on right
and left side as you face material.
Then align those seams over top each other and sew the long seam of lower leg
to crotch to other lower leg seam.
Waist
Turn in twice one quarter inch and sew leaving 1 inch opening to run in 10 inch
length of elastic. Sew opening closed.
Lower edge
Turn in twice one eighth inch and sew.
Gather on gathering line just slightly to be sure you can still slip opening
over dolls' feet. I use a double strand of quilting thread.
That's it! Now no excuse not to make matching bloomers for all Raggedy Ann's
dresses.

To make your 1-inch square (2.5cm) grid graph paper
First,
take an 8.5x11 inch piece of plain paper and draw 1 inch squares - I do this by
drawing horizontal lines 1 inch apart down the page, and then verticle lines 1 inch apart across the page.
Next,
looking at the .jpg image you want to enlarge, copy what is in each of my
squares into your larger squares.
