Sr. Marguerite de Notre Dame, the oldest daughter of Mae Kramer Hoffman and Tom

David Melocik's father, Joseph, and Bruce's
grandfather, Henry, were brothers.

The next 2 photos are shared with us from
Kenneth Porter. Also, here is part of
the note Kenneth sent a long with the photos:
"I wanted to comment on my parents names.
Mom's name was Carmella, but she was often referred to as Carmelita by her
family. I have been told that she was named for the Carmelite nuns, so,
that is where the Carmelita comes from I suppose. Her siblings always
called her "Sis" (Aunt Cass was referred to as
"Babe".). Mom's friends called her "Carm".
Mom would occasionally tell me that her full name was: Carmelita Mary Teresa Melocik Porter. She seemed to take some pride in
having these 5 names."
"As for Dad, His name was Eldridge (note spellng).
He did not like this name and everyone called him "Pete", most having
no idea tha he was named Eldridge. He once told
me that I should be thankful that I was not a "junior"."

17. Photos 17. and
18. were taken in Velke Rovne, Slovakia on October 13, 2010. The names on the
road sign and restaurant as well as the birth records we found prove that Henry
Melocik came from there. It was just exciting
to see the Melocik name on a building (and for me
(Larry Melocik) it was great to see it on a
restaurant/bar as I love to eat and drink).
18. Photos 17. and 18. were

as well as the birth records we found prove that Henry Melocik
came from there. It was just exciting to see the Melocik
name on a building (and for me (Larry Melocik) it was
great to see it on a restaurant/bar as I love to eat and drink).
