1. November 14, 2003. Our back garden; this is mid-afternoon with the sun shining from the south; it is still fairly green in the garden.

3. November 14, 2003. Recently I put in this Japanese-style area along the back fence. There is a small pond surrounded by rocks. This was the last section of garden that I needed to work on.

4. November 14, 2003. Looking from the back fence toward the house; the bushes look like they'll stay green through winter as it has already been below freezing.

5. November 14, 2003. A jay in the golden chain tree. Here the blue jays just have the blue on their wings.

6. November 25, 2003. A robin red breast on our fence under the golden chain tree.

7. November 25, 2003. The robin flew down to the feeder which is just below the fence top in the previous photo. We will be sure to keep feed here as Susan learned from the BBC that 75% of robins die their first winter of starvation.

8. November 25, 2003.  We are very happy that the bluetits have again come home to their bird house for winter.

9. November 25, 2003 - the bluetit peeping out of its birth-bird house!
