Pierced by a Needle of Light
by Susan Kramer
Last night I was awakened from a dream in which I was being painlessly pierced by a long thin needle of pure light.
In my vision, while on my back, it entered my body, centered over my chest from above.
For an instant I was transported into heavenly awareness. At first I thought I had died and gone to heaven (yay), and I did my usual test of touching my wrist with my finger to see if I could push through it. No such luck.
But I really appreciated the moment of splendor where all was vast and brilliantly lit.
Thinking about the experience, I think if I can imagine this much while still hovering around my physical body, it will be ever so much greater when I’m released into the Greater Light forever.
My spiritual revelations, in and out of meditation, such as this dream, compound to fortify me against the stumbling blocks of our physical world.
I know there will come a moment when I will permanently reunite with the reality that I seemingly left so long ago.
I yearn to be fully aware of my Dear Creator Sustainer.
Lord of Heaven, Flame of Light, thank you for
Reminding me of what our permanent
Life with you will ever again be like.
